Today's book discussion is on literary fiction. This type of book is simply any book that has substantial meaning beyond what the book's plot reveals on the surface.
I find profound meaning in every book that I read. For instance, the genre fiction book Cross My Heart, Hope To Die by Sara Shepard teaches the impossibility to control what occurs in life. Instead, people should control how how they handle problems.
Two works of literature that enlightened me are Towards Zero by Agatha Christie and The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. Toward Zero provides the understanding that people in events are more than plot devices. They are real people with feelings, flaws, reasoning and stories. It also shares the importance of not judging people base on their exterior actions and appearance. The Kite Runner amplifies the impossibility to change the past and the difficult path towards rightful redemption.
Thanks for reading!
